Kimberly (Kim) E. Johnson, Owner
Accountant, Licensed Tax Consultant, Enrolled Agent, M.B.A.
Kimberly (Kim) E. Johnson discovered her knack for being an ‘accountant for the people’ early on in life. After helping a neighbor reconcile her ledgers as a young teen in Connecticut, Kim knew she wanted to work in business and finance, and went on to receive her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont in 1991. After earning a Master’s of Business Administration and over a decade spent working in the cruise industry in both San Francisco and Miami, she decided to shift gears, relocate back to the west coast, and started laying the groundwork for what would become Accountants on the Go, LLC.
Known for her honest approach, hardworking ethics, and passion for helping others, Kim has built a business with the mission of offering professional, comfortable and convenient accounting services at an affordable cost. Kim specializes in providing accounting services for small business owners and individuals, helping clients catch up on multiple years of tax returns, and meeting the needs of clients by offering “on the go” services in their own home or office. Since the company’s inception in 2013, Kim has grown Accountants on the Go, LLC primarily by word of mouth and referrals, and the support of her outstanding contractual accounting team. Her love of helping others and her gift for explaining the uninterpretable in understandable terms has led her to incorporate training and professional mentoring into her business model.
When she isn’t helping her clients or assisting her staff, it is a safe bet that Kim can be found helping out her community through volunteer service on several finance committees for local non-profits, or pursuing her love of the outdoors, sports and game playing. She is one of the founders of a local Eugene cribbage group and is an established billiards player, typically participating in a weekly league. Kim has a deep respect and love for the game of golf, and enjoys her summers by attending the Oregon Country Fair and other regional music festivals.
Bookkeeper, Payroll Manager
Melissa Swan aims to make her clients’ jobs easier with over 10 years of business experience. Originally from Norfolk, Virginia, Melissa relocated to the Pacific Northwest as a young adult and graduated from Lane Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting in 2014. With her approachable, friendly office style, she believes in providing clients with excellence and convenient service while delivering fair and stress-free bookkeeping. She also joined Accountants on the Go after meeting Kim as an accountant intern at the Wow Hall.
When she isn’t assisting local non-profits with accounting, Melissa enjoys spending time with her children, enjoying the beautiful Oregon outdoors, and volunteering with the Eugene Figure Skating Club while acting as their club treasurer. She is one of several dedicated volunteers who have diligently worked towards keeping ice skating lessons available at the local ice rink.
Licensed Tax Preparer, Notary
Tracy-Jo Mishley brings over 25 years of financing and credit-collections experience to Accountants on the Go. Starting off her career as bank teller after high school in Plainville, CT, Tracy-Jo quickly displayed a knack for processing numbers and quality customer service, eventually went on to receive her tax preparer’s license in 2011. In conjunction with her position at Accountants on the Go, she has worked as the Finance and Credit Manager for The M. Jacobs Family of Stores for over two decades. Detail-oriented and having a passion for helping others, Tracy-Jo prides herself on giving personal attention and service to each client.
When she isn’t pursuing her various work endeavors, she enjoys spending time in her lily garden, cruising around Eugene on her motorcycle, and camping with friends and family. She currently serves on the Board of Friends of KRVM 91.9, a non-profit group who assists in retaining volunteers and raising money in support to keeping the real variety of music on the air.
Dawnya Robinson found herself in the accounting industry after her plans to become a “rock star” did not pan out. A former boss pointed out her knack for accounting, then gave her the opportunity to learn the skills on the job, and the rest was history. She is known for her down to earth nature, approachability, and innate ability to organize information. She enjoys helping startup businesses reduce costs and obtain their full potential, and finds great joy in tackling projects of any size.
Away from her desk, she enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her greatest passion – animals. She spends a lot of time in her garden, and also volunteers with her daughter on an on-going basis at Greenhill Humane Society.
Amanda K. Atkins
After spending 20 years in the affordable housing industry, Amanda Atkins decided to change directions and focus on a future in finance. A bit of a gypsy in her earlier life, she relocated to Eugene in 2004 to finish up her undergraduate work at the University of Oregon. She joined Accountants on the Go in 2017 as a bookkeeper, and has been utilizing her small business background ever since. With a practical approach and friendly disposition, Amanda helps clients understand a wide range of accounting situations.
When she isn’t crunching numbers, Amanda can be found enjoying the beauty of Oregon on a local running path or exploring a new trail with her dog. She is an avid lover of the outdoors and the culinary arts, and volunteers with several local non-profit organizations.
Lisa Neel is known for her attention to detail, commitment to completion, and itch to solve even the most challenging problems. With her original roots in Idaho, Lisa and her family moved around much of the country before moving to South Eugene in 2002 to raise their family. Initially starting off as a legal secretary, she was exposed to bookkeeping when their family-run production business had a need. As the company grew and flourished over time, so did Lisa’s skill and love of bookkeeping and payroll. Her honesty and friendly approach are why clients find her such a team player.
Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family on their 160-acre ranch. She also loves volunteering her time with homeless youth and children of incarcerated parents, and is very involved with her local church.
